With health and safety a priority here at MPM we are placing John our 5S leader on a Health and Safety Mentoring course.
On Sunday 11th May we undertook our most gruelling challenge yet and raised over £1,700 for The Pituitary Foundation.
Ben Wilson, Dylan Wilson, Steve Dobson from Bentley Construction and Stephen Powell from Keane Creative Ltd, took on the most gruelling challenge yet across the mountain passes of the Lake District.

As part of our mission to continuously improve the service and quality we offer our clients, we are immensely proud to have won these prestigious awards. Paul Williams our ISO advisor, was so impressed with the commitment of the team he entered us into these awards.
All money that is pledged to support us in our sky dive has gone DIRECTLY to the charity. We have funded the dive ourselves, so the charity benefits from ALL the donations.

As we said in a previous news article at the end of 2012, We never like paperwork for the sake of paperwork, we prefer to concentrate on manufacturing quality product for our customers. However, with the assistance that the ISO standard offers towards the streamlining of our processes and procedures we truly believe that gaining this certification will add value to both product quality and customer service. The Plastics Industry Awards are known as the Oscars of the UK plastics industry. The Plastics Industry Awards offer an insight into current developments in materials usage, product design and innovative manufacturing as well as identifying excellence in training and environmental performance.
Along with 3 new contracts being won as a direct result of the new systems put in place for attaining the ISO standard, the first 3 months of 2013 have been the most successful since 2008 and the start of the recession.
Through lean manufacturing we have increased our efficiency from 75% to 89% and further investments in improving the working environment has improved our consistency in quality.

We are aiming to complete our own internal audit with the assistance of Paul Williams achieving this standard by the end of the second quarter of 2013. We will let you know once the ISO standard is official.
MPM's last minute decision to attend the YP awards dinner paid off after they successfully collected 3 awards in total throughout the night much to the delight and modesty of the whole MPM team.
On the back of our recent successful apprenticeship we are recruiting 2 more apprentices who will be starting at MPM this month. We will keep you informed of their progress and are sure that the experience that Josh has had at MPM will ensure that both our new recruits will be just as successful in helping MPM to retain their high standards of production quality and customer service.
With our recent success at the YP awards still fresh in our minds, we would like to thank Paul Williams our internal manufacturing advisor, for all his hard work and patience in order to get us to this level of achievement which seemed almost impossible at the start.
