Productivity is Forecast to Rise as John earns his NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

A celebration is in order for John, our HS Leader, after passing his final exams and earning his NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

We asked John what this means to him and to MPM:

“The learning process I have undergone means that I have gained much more confidence and I am now able to put what I have learned into practice. I would like to think that we are a safer, healthier team and the benefit of that is being more productive.

27,500,000 working days are lost every year due to ill health and accidents (NEBOSH) which can easily be reduced by investing time and money into earning a nationally recognised qualification in health and safety.

The qualification aims to improve the working environment which helps with happiness and culture, encouraging people to come to work and therefore results in better mental and physical health which means the team’s well-being is better all round.

It goes without saying, an accident in the workplace affects the people involved as well as the overall mood of the team. I can now pass the knowledge onto other team members to improve the working environment for all.”
