We rounded off a fantastic 2015 here at MPM with a significant 13% growth in sales and we are aiming for 25% by the end of this year.
We achieved high targets for our operations and growth of employees too.
|On-time delivery rate||98.37%||Minimum 98%|
|Ensure effective process control aimed at ensuring an upward trend in Right First Time||98.23%||RFT at 98.5% actual|
|Average factory efficiency||81%||Team’s efficiency at 90%|
In order to expand our team, we are working with The Works Skate Park, a charity which works closely with schools, youth groups and extended services to get children back into exercise and also help them get their foot on the job ladder. One of their protégés was Connor, who has come to us to work as an apprentice.
Connor started with us in early January this year, working with the production team. He is studying for a qualification in PMO (Performing Manual Operations) and we have another apprentice starting at the end of this month. We strongly believe in apprenticeships as a way of building the skills of potential future employees and we will be working with The Works Skate Park Charity in the future, taking on another 5 apprentices/employees this year.

Paul our Internal Improvements Advisor was blown away by the overall attendance of our team, at an impressive 98.2%. With incentives for 100% attendance, two of our team members received a bottle of their favourite beverage as a thank you for their consistency.
Recognition for team member’s achievements is something we take seriously at MPM. An insightful team vote showed that there was around 7 different people who were voted as the most helpful team member, “This is unusual for so many people to receive this vote as from experience it’s usually one or two people who would standout for being helpful. This shows that our internal improvement processes really encourage helpfulness and of course the team’s natural talent shines through too”.
Our team also answered a survey on the following company & leadership performance against targets in 2015:
The team also voted for the most improved team member and the happiest team member, as sustaining and improving the team’s happiness is key to an enjoyable work environment.
All our team celebrated their efforts at the Christmas party at Leeds’ Headingley Stadium; home of Leeds Rhinos RLFC and Leeds Carnegie Rugby Union.
We started the New Year by concluding our exciting project to expand our premises, which is important for us in order to accommodate our new projects. Work on expanding the mezzanine began before Christmas and has taken us around a month to complete.
